We arranged discounted parking rates for our attendees with the Hyatt. Self parking is available for $7 per night or $5 per non-overnight day, and valet parking is available at the Hyatt for $20 per night. Get your ticket validated at the front desk. Parking in the hotel garage is very limited.

The height limit of the Hyatt's garage is 6' 5". If you have an oversize vehicle, please use the West Annex Lot, near the West Garage.

How-To Park in the Hyatt Garage

Day Parking for Arisia

  • Take the ticket the machine gives you and park (usually a white ticket).
  • Bring the ticket to the hotel front desk any time before you leave.
  • Pay $5 and get a second ticket (usually blue).
  • When you exit the garage, insert the first (white) ticket, then, when it asks for payment, insert the second (blue) ticket. The gate should rise.
  • Retrieve and keep your second (blue) ticket if you will be returning that day.
  • Between 5pm Friday & 5pm Monday, you may park for free at MIT’s West Garage, and take the (also free) Arisia Shuttle to the hotel.

Hotel Guests (overnight parking)

  • Take the ticket the machine gives you and park (usually a white ticket).
  • Go to the hotel front desk any time before you leave or check out. Ask for a second ticket (usually blue). $7/day will be charged to your hotel bill.
  • When you exit the garage, insert the first (white) ticket, then, when it asks for payment, insert the second (blue) ticket. The gate should rise.
  • Retrieve and keep your second (blue) ticket until you leave a final time after checking out.
  • Between 5pm Friday & 5pm Monday, you may park for free at MIT’s West Garage, and take the (also free) Arisia Shuttle to the hotel.

From noon on Friday until 5pm on Monday, please make use of any (non-handicap) parking spaces in the hotel garage (including spaces reserved for Valet parking).

Free Parking at MIT

Free parking is available after 5pm Friday (and until 5pm Monday) in MIT's West Garage on Vassar St between Massachusetts Avenue and the Hyatt hotel, about 1km (0.5 mile) away, and the shuttle bus will stop at the garage every 25 minutes (or so). Please see our Shuttle page for details. There will also be ample free parking in most other MIT lots and along Vassar St closer to the Hyatt hotel. Be aware that the MIT open lots will not be available during a snow emergency.

On-street parking: beware of permit-only & tow zones; the MIT police will ticket or tow you. Avoid Audrey Street especially! Also, do not park illegally in front of the Campus Police Building.
