ARISIA Student Art Contest

Open to all secondary school students.

Theme: science fiction or fantasy.
Cost: FREE!!!
Size: no larger than 18" x 24" for flat works, or 16" x 24" x 30" high for three-dimensional works.
Deadline: must be received by December 24, 2007.
Entry format: digital photographs are preferred. Other formats (e.g. photographic print, photographic slides) are acceptable, if they clearly show the artwork. One picture or photograph per 2-D work, two pictures or photographs per 3-D work. Limit six works per artist. Images may be in any standard format.
Prizes: 1st place-$250, 2nd place-$150, 3rd place-$100, Honorable Mention(s)-$25.
Preliminary selection of entries will be by the Arisia convention committee.
Final judging of the actual artwork will be done at Arisia by a jury committee.
Artwork will be required to be on-site at the Arisia Convention, by the evening of Friday, January 18, 2008. Artwork may be picked up on Sunday afternoon; or you
may make arrangements to have it shipped back provided you provide an appropriate shipping container or pre-addressed box.
Finalists will receive a complimentary weekend membership to the convention, plus complimentary one-day memberships for parents.
Finalists. artwork will be displayed at the Arisia Art Show. All entries and copyright remain the property of the artist, although entries may be put up for sale at the artist.s discretion.
